Mushroom, bacon & spinach Roman-style pizza

Ingredients

  • ½ x 1 pack Essential British Smoked Bacon Lardons
  • 200g stuffed mushrooms
  • 318g No.1 Hand-Stretched Roman Style Pizza Base
  • 80g pack spinach

Method

  1. Preheat the oven 200ºC, gas mark 6. Fry 100g lardons (no extra oil needed) for 2-3 minutes, until lightly golden and the fat starts to run.

  2. Spread the cheesy filling from the mushrooms over the pizza base, then slice the mushrooms and scatter over with the lardons and some washed spinach leaves.

  3. Drizzle with a little olive oil, season, then bake for 15 minutes, or until the pizza base and mushrooms are piping hot and the lardons are cooked through and sizzling.

  4. Dress the remaining spinach with a little oil and vinegar, season, then serve.
