Ingredients

  • 7 mince pies (about 400g)
  • 100g nuts, or other crunchy ingredients (biscuits, pretzels, Maltesers etc.)
  • 300g chocolate of your choice (a mixture of milk and dark works well)
  • 120g unsalted butter
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Roughly chop the mince pies into bitesized pieces. Toast the nuts in a frying pan, then roughly chop if using. Melt together the chocolate, unsalted butter and a good pinch of salt until smooth, then add the chopped nuts and mince pies; stir to distribute. Tip into a baking-parchment-lined 20cm square tin and level the top. Allow to cool to room temperature, then transfer to the fridge to set, before cutting into 16 squares.
