Badoz Mont dOr - Vacherin du Haut-Doubs AOP soft ripened cheese made with raw cow's milk in France.Soft and creamy, with piney, floral notes. Our No. 1 Badoz Vacherin du Haut-Doubs AOP is made in the small mountain town of Pontarlier by the Badoz family who've been cheesemakers since 1830. It's a seasonal cheese, only available from September to March. Each one is bound with a hoop of spruce bark which gives the cheese a unique aroma and infuses the oozy, golden centre with a distinctive piney, floral flavour. In France, vacherin is traditionally baked in the oven and eaten warm, with small boiled potatoes and cornichons for dipping. Made with raw cow's milk. Strength 6.
