British beef pieces in a savoury gravy with ale encased in shortcrust pastry topped with a puff pastry lid.

We make the filling for our Steak & Ale Pie with chunks of tender British chuck steak, braised in a rich gravy made with proper beef stock and Cornish ale, and we sauté the onions in beef dripping for extra flavour. It all goes into crumbly shortcrust pastry topped with a puff pastry lid, glazed with free range egg so the pie comes out of the oven crisp and golden. Higher welfare.
