Nestled in the high country of Eden Valley at 500m above sea level, the Heggies Vineyard parcel for the Botrytis Riesling almost chooses itself, situated on a gentle slope with trees providing shelter and a dam forming at the base of the vineyard, providing ideal conditions and the gentle morning fog needed for the development of Botrytis.
Light gold in colour with subtle and delicate aromas of white flowers, cumquat, hints of nutmeg and cardamom, developing marmalade and candied citrus zest over time. Elegant and restrained with flavours of dried citrus, stones fruits and honey, complemented by a mineral acidity and textured finish.
