    • Cooking time: 25 minutes
    • Total time: 35 minutes

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients

4 Waitrose pork and herb burgers
4 Heston from Waitrose brioche burger buns, halved
1 granny smith apple, finely chopped
    3 tbsp crème fraîche
1 tbsp English mustard, plus a little extra for spreading
    ½ lemon, juice
4 handfuls essential Waitrose crispy salad or watercress
    ½ tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

    Method

    1. Heat the grill or barbecue to medium; grill the burgers for 12 minutes on each side, until cooked through.

    2. Meanwhile toast the buns in a dry frying pan and mix the apple in a bowl with the crème fraîche, mustard and lemon juice; season. Dress the leaves in the vinegar and oil; season. Spread the bottom halves of the buns with a little mustard, add small handfuls of the dressed leaves, then top each with a burger, a spoonful of apple slaw and the other half of the bun.
